Pharmacist Assistant

June 2022 - Aug 2022

As an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Goldhawk Lab, I contribute to projects focused on imaging probiotic and uropathogenic bacteria using PET and PET/MRI in large animal models. My role involved assisting with multiple ongoing research studies, supporting data collection, and ensuring that experiments run smoothly. I am also responsible for basic laboratory maintenance, including equipment upkeep, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols, which helps maintain an efficient and well-organized research environment.

During my six years at Davisol Foods, I was responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment. I regularly assisted customers in finding products suited to their needs and preferences, ensuring a positive shopping experience. In the absence of the manager, I took on additional responsibilities to ensure the store ran smoothly, including delegating tasks to other staff and addressing operational challenges as they arose.

Cooperative Education Student (Co-op)

September 2019 - February 2020

As a Pharmacist Assistant, I supported the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy by preparing, counting, labeling, and processing prescriptions with accuracy and attention to detail. I handled incoming phone inquiries, processed prescription orders, and assisted customers in both the pharmacy and retail sections. My responsibilities also included cleaning, stocking shelves, and ensuring that products were organized and accessible, which contributed to the efficiency of pharmacy operations and the delivery of high-quality patient service.

In this role, I worked alongside research assistants on clinical trials related to urinary and cardiovascular health in dialysis patients and patients eligible for dialysis. I assisted in organizing and entering patient data into secure databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in all records. A key achievement was creating a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for future co-op students, detailing how to navigate the REDCap data entry software and access patient files. This document streamlined onboarding for new students and supported the continuity of research operations.
